We are very fortunate to have an experienced coach, our Director of Sport Israil Foreman. He has competed for years at a national & international level.
All paddlers are signed up to our local Waka Ama Club, Tu Tangi Ora, so are eligible to compete at school & club events.
We take registrations for new paddlers in June.
Fees: TBC
Trials: Take place in June each year. Details TBC.
Training: Takes place on the Kaipara River and on Houghton’s Lake in Muriwai. A monthly training schedule is posted a couple of weeks prior to starting so paddlers can keep training times free.
Uniform: Kaipara College sports singlets & shorts, girls will be required to wear their own black skins.
Auckland Waka Ama Senior regatta: Open to teams in the U16 and U19 age groups. The venue is TBC.
Auckland Waka Ama Junior Regatta: Open to Junior teams. The venue is TBC.
Secondary School Club Nationals: Open to U16 and U19 top teams. The competition is held at Lake Tikitapu Rotorua
