**Parent Update Tuesday 3 November**
Website Update for Tuesday, 3 November
We expected to have more test results back today but unfortunately none had arrived by 5pm this evening.
Decontamination of the equipment in the hall, admin, music, drama and staff rooms has begun. Our phone system and ICT equipment has been recovered and we will be accessible by phone from about midday tomorrow. A temporary school reception and office has been established in the careers room. Access is through the gate and door at the village end of the bus bay. The Student Centre is also back in action and the attendance office will be available from tomorrow.
It is still our plan to have the roof cleaned and sealed by Sunday evening, so that the full school may resume on site next Monday.
The Helensville Rugby Club and the Tennis Club have kindly given us their premises for the next three days.
We are encouraging all students to come in and touch base with their teachers, particularly those who have external assessments starting shortly. A timetable of tutorials for the students has been drawn up. It is available from the latest student update page on the website.
A number of students and teachers are working together via Google docs and email.
We are still expecting to have the school site available to students on Monday morning, 9 November, when the NCEA examinations start. They will be held in the school gymnasium.
Prize-giving is on tomorrow evening at 7 pm in the Helensville School Hall. The prize-list is posted on the website. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
The NCEA Information Evening for parents of Year 10 students moving into Year 11 next year that is scheduled for Tuesday, 10 November from 6.30 to 7.30 pm is still on. The venue will be advised in a later update.
Thank you all for your continuing patience.
I’ll see many of you tomorrow night,
